S Mobility, India’s leading mobile internet company, today launched India’s first 3G & 2G Dual Sim Android phone Mi-350 in Chennai. Present at the launch were Mr. T. M. Ramakrishnan, Associate Vice President – Operations, Chennai Cluster, S Mobility Ltd. and Mr. Vikrant Choudhary – Synergize Tech Pvt. Ltd., the largest distributor of cell phones in Chennai.

Mi 350 smart phone powered by the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread boasts of a super powerful battery backup that lasts up to 7 days – a first in the world of mobile handsets. Currently, smartphones run on fast processors and have a lot of applications around them but do not have long lasting batteries to support them.

Mi-350 is powered by a 650MHz Turbo Processor based on the MTK platform and is loaded with a host of utilities and features like Google task bar & Facebook. With a 3.5 inch screen, the Mi-350 offers an innovative framework, faster response and deeper integration at a very attractive MRP of Rs. 9999/- only.

To support the launch, S Mobility will be strengthening its distribution network across the state. Currently there are 50,000 retail points including the 750+ Spice HotSpot retail network across India and more than 2500 leading outlets in Tamil Nadu. S Mobility, which entered the Tamil Nadu market this financial year, has partnered with seven organised retail chains and has a healthy growth of 307% ($1.9mn) over Q1. The Company is making swift progress in its endeavor to claim the number 3 spot in a year’s time.
